What is the official name of Oberlin College?
'Oberlin College' may be used.

Are the College and the Conservatory separate institutions?
No. These two divisions of Oberlin are one institution.

Do you have sample language to use for a bequest (gift through a will)?
For an Unrestricted Gift:
"I give (a specific asset) or ($__ dollars) or (__ percent of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate) to Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio, to be used for its general purposes."

For a Specific Use Gift:
"I give (a specific asset) or ($__ dollars) or (__ percent of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate) to Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio, to be used for the following purpose: (state the purpose, e.g., 'to establish the John and Jane Doe 'scholarship fund'.) If in the judgment of The Trustees of Oberlin College, it becomes impossible to accomplish the purpose of this gift, the income or principal may be used for such related purposes and in such manner as determined by its Board of Trustees."

I want to support Oberlin, but I don't want to be solicited more than once a year. What options do I have?

We aren't able to provide specific advice for individual donors. However, we are happy to work with your personal advisor on plans that will help you support Oberlin.
